The successful candidate for this senior position at the EUROCITIES Brussels Office will report directly to the EUROCITIES Executive Committee.

Responsibilities:

• provide direct advice and support on strategic policy to EUROCITIES Executive Committee
• be responsible for the implementation of the strategy decided by the ExCom
• coordinate and supervise the functioning and performance of the secretariat
• be responsible for lobbying and networking with European institutions
• be responsible for a sound and strategic financial management
• be responsible for the HR management
• be responsible for the implementation and the respect of the budget
  

Profile:

• Excellent knowledge of agglomerations and their environment and good experience in working with cities administrations
• Excellent knowledge and proven experience in urban affairs and related EU policies
• Experience and proven record at senior management level
• Demonstrated success in lobbying European institutions
• Experience in project management of European Commission or Government funded projects is an asset
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Good social networking skills
• Perfect English, fluent French, other languages an asset
